At the Reef Lodge backpackers, we are always looking out for free and cheap activities for those on a budget, that still would like to experience parts of Australia that don't usually show up without a cost.
Koalas were introduced to the Island in the 1930s. With its parks and wildlife Magnetic
Island gives you a great chance to head off the roads and go
bush. With two thirds of the island is National Park as well
Marine Park, 23 bays and beaches, it has a unique culmination of flora and fauna.
The island has to over 186 types of birds of which include kookaburras, sulphur crested cockatoos, Brahminy kites and the crazy bush-stone curlew.

This world heritage island
is part of the Great Barrier Reef and is surrounded reefs. Magnetic Island also has an many fish, turtles and other marine wildlife.

bushland, from the wattles and the beautifu eucalypts
tothe small pockets of rainforest, as well hoop pine outcrops.
The Forts walk is the best areas to spot koalas and the 360 degree views of the coast and the Coral Sea, including Cleveland Bay are quite beautiful.
