Welcome to the Reef Lodge Backpackers Hostel and budget accommodation. Originally built back in the 50's and housed the seasonal wharf workers that lived away from home for 9 months of the year later changed directions and has been catering to the backpacker market since the late 70's and has continued over 40 years. The hostel has seen a number of owners and a number of transformations. In 2002 Dean and Simone Nixon-Harding took on the task of reviving what was then a badly run down business and today is one of the busiest hostel in the backpacking market.
